This website is for sharing my web apps, digital art, poems and my interpretations of the Dao De Jing by Laozi. I designed the text and image apps, and Claude AI wrote the code.

Text Editor: The first app is a text editor that simulates the look of a typewriter. It uses a monospace font, which means columns of numbers align perfectly, and it has many of the standard Rich Text Format ((rtf) editing features, like bold, italic and underlined text. I have added red text, among other enhanced features. It uses your browser's spell check capability as well. It has a typewriter format, being designed for letter size paper. Your printed pages will look like the ones on the screen. Press F1 for a helpful list of the key controls. All actions are initiated by keystrokes. Typewriters don't have menus, and lack of menus means speedier editing. Your work is saved as a private web page with an html extension.

Image Editor: This app is a versatile image viewer/editor that features image transformations and adjustments. It provides a way to load many images at once and page through them using the left and right cursor keys. If you see an image that needs changing you can make the edits and save the image back to your computer. Of course you can open one image at a time to use the editing tools that the app provides.

The editor uses a hub and spoke system. The main editor offers the adjustment and transformation features you expect in an image editor all on a single immediately available page. Nested menus are not needed. Basic editing is done quickly using a simple button system. The spokes listed on the right side control panel offer more detailed editing capabilities. Included are spokes for that give you layer blending, a collection of brush tools, and a spoke to add text to your image. Also included are filter spokes that allow you to create artistic effects. Many of these spokes include a reveal brush that erases the effect from areas you select. For more of an overview of this app, see: Quick Guide to Image Editor and Viewer

Layer Blend Studio: Load an underlayer and use various blend modes and two opacity slider to blend it with the image you are editing. Great for adding textures and frames. You can also use an eraser brush to slowly erase what is on either the underlayer or the top layer. Guide to Layer Blend Studio

Flow Painter: This filter also has a reveal brush and opacity slider. It has several built-in brushes, but you can also load your own brush from your local computer. It provides several adjustment sliders to apply a variety of artistic effects. Use the opacity slider on all these apps to adjust the strength of the effect. I will be adding guides to all of the spokes soon, but the best way to see what they do is to experiment with them.

Next are links to my 1111 poems and my three versions of the Dao De Jing, all of which relate the outlook of that classic to Douglas Harding's viewpoint on headless seeing. The Dao haiku meditations were created by Claude AI.

Lastly are links to Bluesky, where I post poems and comments and digiart images daily, and to Flickr and Tumblr, where I have posted many images in the past.
