Detail in the houses brought back with the reveal brush
I used heavy filtering in the Painter app on this image to show a typical use for the reveal brush. It can bring back details wherever you want to soften or remove any effect you have applied. Here I brought back the houses. Bringing back details in eyes and faces, while allowing other parts of an image to retain the full effect of the filter can create impressive images. To restore the original image completely run the brush several times over the area you want to reveal. You can also apply the brush quickly if you want a partial reveal.
Be sure to use Ctrl-Shift-P to print your final result. This will give you access to your print driver software where you can specify you are printing on photo paper, matte or glossy. Just pressing Ctrl-P will bypass the print driver and send your image directly to the printer. The printer may not put down enough ink for good quality prints.
